Bring Holiday Cheer to Utah’s Place

Hospitality House is seeking volunteers to bring some cheer to Utah’s Place this holiday season.

Come for a night and:

• Host a board game night (many games provided)

• Teach an ornament or craft class

• Host Karaoke (equipment provided)

• Play live music during dinner

• Host a BINGO night (supplies provided – prizes not included), that’s where you come in

• Bring eggnog and sing holiday carols with the guests

Do you have an idea we didn’t think of? We have a lot of artists and creative folks in Nevada County! If you have a creative idea that we haven’t listed, please call to discuss it. 530-615-0852.

Do you want to bring holiday cheer but can’t come to host an evening? You can sponsor an evening for the shelter’s guests, and we will take care of the rest.

For $150, you can sponsor one of the following:

• A movie night with popcorn, candy, and drinks

• A movie night with cookies and hot cocoa

• An ice cream party

For many of our guests, this time of year can be especially difficult, while the world is celebrating with family, gifts, and parties, those experiencing homelessness often face feelings of loneliness and loss. That’s why we want to fill Utah’s Place with warmth, joy, and community this holiday season—and we’d love for you to be part of it. We’re creating a special calendar of events to bring fun, laughter, and cheer to our guests, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make it happen.
