As reported on KVMR, Dec. 21, 2018:

Hospitality House is the only emergency homeless shelter in Nevada County, with 69 beds for homeless men, women and children.

I’m Frank Gates and I’m the volunteer manager at Hospitality House, working with all the wonderful people in our community who donate their time to help further our mission. Night of Giving is actually the perfect example of how great our volunteers are. The band we just heard is donating their time tomorrow, along with everyone else working at the event. It’s incredible! If anyone listening that has an interest in learning more about volunteer opportunities, you can contact me directly at 530-615-0805.

As Christmas gets closer, it can be a little stressful to find that perfect gift. Well, I invite everyone listening who still has shopping to do to stop by our thrift shop, Bread & Roses. The store carries a variety of gift options, including scarfs, sweaters, games, books, kitchen needs, movies, and more. We have a little bit of everything so stop by today!

And if you’re looking for a gift idea that is truly unique, we are also selling beautiful printed ornaments, designed by Full Circle Press, and when you buy one of these ornaments for $50, you provide someone in need a night of shelter and all-inclusive services, such as three meals, clothes, case management and more. Ornaments can be purchased online at hhshelter.org, or at our new administrative office, located at 466 Brunswick Way.
To everyone who helped cook and provide meals last week, we thank you—Mt.
