A Thank You from Nancy Baglietto

On behalf of Hospitality House, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for all the donations received during our Spring Appeal. I am pleased to share that Hospitality House was able to raise $85,000 which will directly support the ongoing operation and wrap-around supportive case management services for those sheltering at Utah’s Place.

This Spring, Hospitality House focused on Johnye, a wife, mother, and business owner who unexpectedly found herself compromised with nowhere to turn. Thankfully, Utah’s Place was there for her. Thanks to donors like you, Hospitality House is delighted to report that Johnye found a permanent home of her own and is thriving independently! While homelessness was nothing she ever believed would happen to her personally, she remained dedicated to getting back on her feet, and since she transitioned to her new apartment, has been thriving ever since.

In addition to housing, Hospitality House also helped Johnye to acquire furniture and get her utilities set up. “I enjoy sitting on my balcony when it’s not too hot and reading. And, I love meeting my new neighbors,” Johnye said. She is most comforted by her new friendships, regularly exchanging meals and enjoying conversations.

Johnye stays in touch with friends and staff at Hospitality House and has even volunteered at the shelter to give back to the community she loves. She diligently manages her health and finances and feels more confident than she has in a long while. “Johnye glows each time I see her,” reported her case manager.

These success stories reflect the difference that the heartfelt donations have made to someone in need. Real people like Johnye get the support just when they need it most.

Thank you again for supporting Hospitality House in its mission to serve our homeless Nevada County neighbors as we collectively embark on the journey to transition people from homelessness to permanent housing solutions.

With warm regards,

Nancy S. Baglietto, MSW
