DONATIONS TRIPLED TODAY

Tonight, Dec. 19, we invite you and your loved ones to join us from the comfort of your home to enjoy the 15th annual Night of Giving.

WHAT IS IT?

Night of Giving is a virtual concert to raise awareness and support for local families and individuals experiencing homelessness. The concert features many regional and local musicians who are making special performances just for the event as well as a virtual best of collection of performances from years past. Virtual attendees will also have an opportunity to go behind the scenes of Hospitality House’s homeless shelter, known as Utah’s Place, where they’ll meet real locals experiencing homelessness, hear a little of their story, and learn more about the services offered at the shelter.

HOW DO I WATCH?

Viewing options include hhshelter.orgFacebook.com/hhshelter,YouTube.com/hhshelter and Public Access Television: Comcast channel 11 or Suddenlink channel 16. (Important to note: the TV version will not include mention of the triple donation match per their guidelines but the triple match will be offered all night long).

HOW LONG IS IT?

Night of Giving was originally slated to last two hours, from 6 pm to 8 pm. However, much like attending our Night of Giving event in person, our audience has been gifted surprise encore performances! The show will conclude at approximately 8:45 pm. This will be a magical evening that you don’t want to miss.

WHO’S PERFORMING?

Night of Giving features several musicians, including Alasdair Fraser, All in the Family Trio, Beaucoup Chapeaux, Boston Ravine, Brett Shady, Dakota Sid Clifford with Travers Clifford & Homer Wills, Darol Anger with Rob & Christine Bonner, Everything & Beyond, Golden Shoulders, InConcert Sierra Master Chorale, Joe Craven & Hattie Craven, Lolo, Lorraine Gervais, Paul Kamm & Eleanore MacDonald, Sands Hall, Rita Hosking, Ryan Murray & the Music In The Mountains Chorus, and a variety of “best of” clips from a dozen or more past Night of Giving artists. All performers donate their time and talents to make Night of Giving possible.

DO I NEED A TICKET?

No. There is no cost to watch Night of Giving from home, but a suggested donation of $25 is encouraged to help Hospitality House during the pandemic and beyond. Donations received during the event will be tripled by angel donors. If $25 is given, as an example, the angel donors will give $75 in response, which in turn will provide fuel and nourishment to 100 people for a day. Triple matching is available up to $10,000 (which means the shelter could receive up to $30,000 by angel donors if enough people give today). Gifts of any size are deeply appreciated.

HOW DO I GET THE TRIPLE DONATION MATCH?

There are three ways to get the triple match:

All day long today, donations may be made online at hhshelter.org/donate and they will count automatically toward the match.
Community members may also call during the event to make a donation over the phone with a staff member. Just call 530-615-0852. If no one answers, it means we are assisting other callers on the line. Please leave a message and you will receive a call back asap. Live donations over the phone are available from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Mail in your donation to Hospitality House at 1262 Sutton Way, Grass Valley, CA 95945. Checks dated Dec. 19 or earlier with “Night of Giving” in the memo will be applied toward the triple match.

A CHANCE FOR GREATER IMPACT

“The show must go on,” said Mikail Graham, event host and founder of Night of Giving. “Now more than ever, this event matters. Hospitality House has helped 583 locals this year to date and as more people fall into homelessness, we as a community need to do more. We have a handful of angel donors who have stepped up for this event and any donation given to Hospitality House during the show will be tripled by their kind hearts. This is a big deal. We have an incredible opportunity to create impact while having a great night of music and entertainment, too.”
