Donate Food, Clothes, or Other Items

Food Donations

All unexpired/store-bought foods are accepted at our shelter, Utah’s Place, located at 1262 Sutton Way, Monday- Friday, 9 am – 2 pm. We serve over 100 individuals every day.

Thank you for considering donating to Hospitality House and our neighbors experiencing homelessness. While we deeply appreciate every donation, we have limited capacity to store items that do not have immediate use. We ask our generous donors to please donate our most needed items, as listed below.

Please note that Hospitality House prepares meals for 80-110 people at a time. Therefore, it is difficult for the culinary team to utilize small donations of cans and other dry good items. We ask our thoughtful community to please stock up on cans or purchase enough to feed at least 80 people before donating. Even though it may seem helpful to donate items that you might not otherwise use, unless we receive a large quantity of the same item, it is very difficult for us to use it.

Become a Food Group

1. Please consider joining our cooking club and cook once a month with a group of friends or organization. Meals must be prepared in a commercial kitchen to comply with the Environmental Health Code, so we welcome cooking at the shelter’s commercial kitchen. It can be purchased at a deli, restaurant, or catering company (i.e. breakfast burritos from Safeway Deli)
3. Adopt a night for $395 and provide the most basic food and shelter for 100 people.
