Weekly News: Victory for Victor

Hi, I’m Michael, Hospitality House’s HAT van driver. I’d like to tell you about a client who we will call Victor. Victor is roughly 50 years old and has been using HAT services since I started driving the van months ago. When I began driving, Victor routinely scheduled rides from his then-residence at a temporary housing facility to the grocery store or to the library. Michael and Victor established a friendly acquaintance over time. Recently, Victor started scheduling rides to and from a new address. One of his frequent stops is now the local community college. When I asked Victor about his new digs, Victor shared that, with help and resources from Hospitality House, he found a permanent home and, with the help of the HAT van, is working towards a degree in psychology. Victor utilizes the HAT van to run errands, but perhaps more importantly, to expand his mind and create a brighter future. I am inspired by Victor’s tenacity and am so glad to have the opportunity to witness the positive impact made by Hospitality House on people’s lives.

Thanks to our network of supporters, Hospitality House remains committed to guests as we support clients on their unique pathways to permanent housing.
