Donations Matched Through December 15

Grass Valley, Calif. (December 1, 2025) – A generous local donor has stepped forward to amplify the impact of donations made to Hospitality House, Nevada County’s leading homelessness service provider. Now through December 15, all monetary donations made to support Utah’s Place, the 24/7 emergency shelter on Sutton Way, will be matched dollar for dollar. A $50 gift turns into $100, going twice as far in helping our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

The services offered at Utah’s Place become crucial during the cold winter months. They can mean the difference between life and death for someone living on the streets in extreme weather. Hospitality House meets these basic needs as well as comprehensive case management services.

“The instability in public funding has left many non-profits scrambling,” shared Executive Director Nancy Baglietto. “Our commitment to bridging the gap between homelessness and housing for Nevada County residents who are struggling remains firm. Community support is essential, and we are thankful for this generous match offer that will enable Hospitality House to continue providing vital services to those in need.”

With the support of the community in the last fiscal year, Hospitality House:

  • served 824 unique individuals
  • provided 80,970 meals
  • housed 148 people

Thanks to local donors, Hospitality House is able to help community members navigate the challenges of becoming homeless. Each person’s needs are different, and Hospitality House’s team flexes to meet those needs on a case-by-case basis. With your support this holiday season, we can help even more individuals and families regain self-sufficiency.
