Hospitality House Community Shelter
The mission of Hospitality House is to bring homeless Nevada County residents into a circle of community caring that offers shelter, sustenance, medical care, advocacy, opportunity, dignity, and hope as we assist them in transitioning from homelessness to housing. Hospitality House is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit corporation serving Nevada County since 2005.

• Open Bread & Roses Thrift Store to provide revenue for shelter operations.
• Create retail job-training program for shelter guests at Bread & Roses Thrift Store.
• Advocate for affordable housing.

How your Donation Helped in 2014:
- Served 413 unduplicated individuals: 270 males, 143 females. This includes 39 children.
- Provided 17,024 bed-nights.
- Volunteers provided 51,072 meals and 14,600 hours of service.
- Outreach case managers made 2239 contacts with 312 homeless individuals not staying at Hospitality House.
- Over 550 medical exams provided at our weekly onsite medical clinic.
- 273 shelter guests moved into housing or into other stable situations.
- Our Pathways to Housing program assisted 101 homeless individuals (32 children) into permanent housing.
- $29,739 in financial assistance was provided to these households for rent and security deposits.
- 21 guests participated in our Hospitality House Serves 6 week Culinary Job Training Program.
- 2 course graduates hired as prep cooks by area restaurants.

- Raise $80,000 to pay off construction loan for Utah’s Place.
- Develop collaboration with local business to hire/train shelter guests.
- Research options for creating self-sustaining income.

How your Donation Helped in 2013:
- Served 384 unduplicated individuals: 260 males, 124 females. This includes 36 children.
- Provided 15,228 bed-nights.
- Volunteers provided 45,084 meals and 21,000 hours of service.
- Outreach case managers made 2707 contacts with 176 homeless individuals not staying at Hospitality House.
- Over 500 medical exams provided at our weekly onsite medical clinic.
- 202 shelter guests moved into housing or into other stable situations.
- Our Pathways to Housing Program assisted 107 homeless individuals (27 were children) into permanent housing.
- $40,004 in financial assistance was provided to these households for rent and security deposits.

- Implement the Hospitality House Serves Culinary Job Training Program.

- Implement homeless recovery group and life management classes.
